## Recommended OBS Path

Use WHIP if OBS offers it. If WHIP is not available, use Custom with SRT details from yastream. RTMPS and RTMP are available for older encoders and workflows.

## Recommended Settings

- Video encoder: H.264/x264 unless there is a specific reason not to.
- Audio codec: Opus when streaming with WHIP and watching with WHEP.
- Rate control: CBR.
- B-frames: 0.
- Keyframe interval: 1 second.
- Bitrate: stay under the plan limit and leave room on the upload connection.
- Start with 25 or 30 fps.
- Keep output resolution inside the plan limit.

## Troubleshooting

- OBS cannot connect: check stream type, server URL, stream key, Stream ID, or WHIP token.
- Viewer link keeps waiting: make sure OBS says it is live and yastream shows a healthy signal.
- Stream is rejected: lower bitrate or resolution so it fits the account tier.
- No WHEP audio: use Opus audio for WHIP/WHEP or switch to a playback path that supports the source audio.
- New viewers cannot join: remove inactive viewers, upgrade the plan, or book temporary 24-hour viewer slots from the dashboard if available.

## Security

Do not send raw stream keys or bearer tokens to support. Do not post stream keys, Stream IDs, WHIP tokens, or signed viewer links publicly.
